PHOTOGRAPHER: POLO GARAT

We first met Polo at the Southsiders-MC III Anniversary, and bloody hell we had a great time! His early work was part of the photography exhibition prepared for the Friday Party, and wickedly trapped our eyes. Although we had already seen these rad pics, surfing around the french blogosphere, it was really cool to see them in person and even more, meeting the crazy mother fucker that shot them back in 1984. These slices of juvenile action were shot in Toulouse with his first camera, while hanging around town with his close mates. The rawness and violence that they vapor is just insanely brutal. I can imagine what it felt to drift across the Garonne´s city boulevards, in the 80´s, onboard Polo´s white Merc (the one crashed in the pic below), thrashing common crouds behind in a gesture of perplex insecurity.
