FESTIVAL SINSAL NO.9: ISLA DE SAN SIMON 2011

Guest Artists: “The Crusaders & The Plastic Bag”

The Sinsal No.9 was, by its own rights, probably one of the best music Festivals we´ve ever been invited to. You might ask why? … well its easy… first, we had never been to a “Music Gathering” (400pax!) in a privileged location such as San Simon Island is, (… well actually we remember rocking with Sonic Youth in Ostia Antica´s Roman Theatre back in 199…) but it wasn´t just for that. It was the great creative direction plus the wide sound spectra that ensured the magical environment on the arena. Not to mention the priceless TLC that the Organization gave to all the assistants! You could feel, all round & across, that money wasn´t present in the equation of this event, and we gotta´ admit that in todays capital driven world this is a scarce commodity.

The Sinsal experience, is developed around the 4 Seasons, in the purest Vivaldi legacy. They organize concerts around Vigo´s most picturesque corners, always supporting those less known musical proposals, according to the seasonal cut and temperature.

ElSolitarioMC´s crew missed the boat that docked guests on the island (& that´s another story…) but made it swimming across the channel, with only a plastic brown bag as entourage! HAHA!! WoW we had fun!! Obviously we could take no camera with us, so had to steal some pics from Alberto Perez Barahona, West Peak, Cristina Irisarri & Andres Fraga. (Cheerz2all!)

Thanks to the Organizers for such a wonderful initiative and wish you a very long long life! We´ll hang on in there of course!!
