EL SOLITARIO & DIRT QUAKE II – FIRST ROUND

Galicia is known for its green fields and forests, only possible because it rains a lot. This is cool but someday you need this rain to STOP! or you will go bananas. By far, 2013 had the biggest measured rainfall since the early fifties, and that was getting on our nerves… But not today… Today we had a beautiful 25˚ Celsius all day round without a freaking cloud above us! Obviously we couldn’t stay indoors working! & Since El Solitario has promised to attend & support Dirt Quake, we needed to start practicing our (up to date non-existant) power-sliding technique… So packed light my Pan, Gonzo & the lil’ CG125, and the three rode to the mountains.

We had never done this before, and had nothing similar to a Dirt Track Oval around, so decided to take our chances on a, cow friendly, vast field. Armed on the gracious CG125 & using our best lady’s Gonzo as buoy in a regatta, we launched the fighting endeavor left turning around it. Obviously we had all heard, goggled or read, many times the basics of power sliding: elbow up, left foot front, eyes where you wanna go… but gotta admit that doing all of this, at the same time, is easier said than done… HAHA:)))… We had kid’s fun, didn’t wreck nothing major and felt terribly excited finally having started our nutter strategy to left-turn-survival, at the coolest craziest moto-circus in the world.

*NOTE: Don’t believe everything you see! Folks mud-celebrating on the above PICS were too ugly for color & look faster than they actually were…
